O Inglês como Ele é: Collocations - GOOD
Hi guys!
GOOD
morning/afternoon/evening/night
day, bye, example, friend, idea, job, life
car, computer, man, reason, time, work
Agora, vamos ler o seguinte texto:
My father is a good man. He always gives me good advice about life and good suggestions about how to make money. Last year we had a good trip to Paris: we ate good food, bought good books and good clothes. The weather was good. We stayed in a good hotel near the Louvre. We also met good people who told us about the good experience of living in Europe.
Our biggest surprise was to know that a good tennis player was at the same hotel. She was in the city to take part in a charity event.
Localize todas as vezes que o adjetivo good aparece no texto.
My father is a __________ man. He always gives me __________ advice about life and __________ suggestions about how to make money. Last year we had a __________ trip to Paris: we ate __________ food, bought __________ books and __________ clothes. The weather was __________. We stayed in a __________ hotel near the Louvre. We also met __________ people who told us about the __________ experience of living in Europe.
Our biggest surprise was to know that a __________ tennis player was at the same hotel. She was in the city to take part in a charity event.
acting: impressive, high-quality
advice: useful, helpful
books: absorbing, brilliant, excellent, great, terrific, fabulous, fantastic, fascinating, informative
clothes: expensive, fashionable, smart
experience: pleasant, interesting, enjoyable
films/events: brilliant, excellent, great, terrific, fabulous, fantastic, exciting, entertaining, absorbing
food/meals: delicious, tasty, wonderful, exquisite
ideas/suggestions: appealing, brilliant, excellent, great, interesting
man: kind, charming, interesting
party: fun
performance/piece of work/people: outstanding, decent, kind, moral, nice, respectable
player: skillful, talented, fine
room: cozy, comfortable, attractive
trip: pleasant, enjoyable
weather: pleasant, perfect, beautiful
A strong midfielder, who can also play in defense, Murphy is a skillful player. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/in_depth/2001/womens_euro_2001/1388301.stm)
That’s all, folks! See ya next week.
