Hello, aqui vem mais um cartoon. Como sempre: aqui tem uma imagem com uma fala e algumas perguntas com um exemplo. Use a imaginação para dar suas próprias respostas em inglês nos comentários.

(a) Who are the skirts for? Para quem são as saias?
(b) Are they going to buy the skirts? Elas vão comprar as saias?
(c) Why are the skirts on sale? Porque as saias estão na liquidação?
Minhas respostas
(a) They're for the little girl's grandfather (he likes to dress up as a woman!) Para o avô da menininha (ele gosta de se vestir como mulher!)
(b) Not yet. They're not sure what the right size is Ainda não. Elas não tem certeza de qual é o tamanho certo.
(c) Because nobody wants them. Porque ninguém quer (as saias).
Essas saias estão na liquidação.

Os comentários para este artigo foram encerrados.As perguntas não são muito novas para mim (pude entender numa boa), mas tenho dúvidas quanto à forma das respostas.
Só respondam minhas dúvidas se possível (eu sei… há perguntas que não dá pra responder).
Por que:
“They’re for the little girl’s grandfather” e não “It’s for the…” Achei que usaria “It’s” porque saias são objetos e não pessoas.
They’re not sure what the right size is - estranhei a posição do “is”. Isto me lembra frases como “Where are you come from”, onde o from também fica no fim da frase. Se possível gostaria que me explicassem a lógica.
My exercises:

The skirts are for a friend of my friend. This man also likes to dress up as a woman. I think he is Scottish.
b)
I don’t know. Maybe. She is looking the skirts during a long time.

Because they need to sell their store.

Usei they’re porque estamos falando de skirtS (mais de uma) Se fosse uma skirt, seria It’s.
A outra pergunta: coloque “what can it do” (com aspas mesmo) na caixinha de busca, e vc vai achar uma lição sobre isso OK?
