Preposições em inglês são conhecidas como uma das grandes dificuldades dos estudantes de inglês brasileiros. Não é novidade para ninguém que é preciso dedicação a fim de aprendê-las e usá-las de forma correta: é necessário ler e ouvir freqüentemente, ou seja, tentar estar em contato o máximo possível com o inglês, pois só assim iremos perceber e gravar naturalmente qual é a preposição que vai com cada verbo.
Afinal, na maioria dos casos não há regras gramaticais explicando quando usá-las. No entanto, os verbos que vem depois das preposições às vezes também não se comportam como a gente espera. Sabendo disso, vamos estudar uma “regrinha” que com certeza irá te ajudar a não errar mais!
Observe as frases abaixo e responda:

Depois de uma preposição (at, in, on, about, before, for, by, with etc…) o verbo que segue vem acompanhado de ING.
Veja mais exemplos:
I dream of living in Europe. (Eu sonho em morar na Europa.)
Why are you talking about moving to Australia? (Por que você está falando em se mudar para Austrália?)
Forgive me for interrupting the meeting, but it’s a matter of life and death. (Perdão por interromper a reunião, mas é uma questão de vida ou morte.)
Viu? É fácil! É só se lembrar de usar verbo+ing depois de uma preposição.
Alguns adjetivos também podem ser seguidos de preposição.
Observe:
I’m not good at speaking Spanish. (Eu não sou bom para falar espanhol.)
He’s very interested in learning English. (Ele está muito interessado em aprender inglês.)
We are tired of helping him all the time. (Nós estamos cansados de ajudá-lo o tempo todo.)

Qdo vc diz, I use the internet for… o “for” aparece antes do studying, mas ele vale para o listening também.
Vc não escreveu de novo o “for” para não ficar repetitivo, mas na verdade está listando várias coisas que vem depois dele.
Mesma coisa com talking e enjoying, e com o learning no (2).

eu escreveria

e não
“I want reading that book.”
Vários lugares vejo o verbo depois do to sem o ing.
