[salesperson] Yes. The regular price is 19 dollars.
[customer] How about this skirt? E essa saia?
[salesperson] The green one or the black one?
[customer] The black one. A preta.
[salesperson] Oh, that’s a skirt from the new collection. That’s 20 dollars.

24. There’s a meeting at 4 (two salespeople talking) (10:12)

Tanto Tom quanto Leslie são representantes de vendas, mas Leslie é nova na empresa. Por isso, ela ainda não está por dentro de tudo que acontece na empresa. Os dois se encontram no refeitório e Tom avisa a colega.

[Tom] Hey Leslie. How’s it going?
[Leslie] Tom, hi. It’s going well, thanks. How are you?
[Tom] Doing great. Remember, our meeting is at 4 today. (Indo super bem. Lembre-se, nossa reunião é às 4 hoje.)
[Leslie] Excuse me? Como?
[Tom] The meeting with our manager, Michael… Remember?
[Leslie] No! Are you sure? (Não! Você tem certeza?)
[Tom] Yes. We have a meeting with Michael on the first Thursday of every month… but it’s usually at 9am. But Michael was busy this morning. He had a meeting with the VP of Sales, so… We’re gonna meet at 4 o’ clock today.
[Leslie] I didn’t know that! (Eu não sabia (disso)!)
[Tom] He sent us an email last week… Oh, now I get it. (Ele nos mandou um email semana passada… Ah,
agora eu entendi.) Of course you didn’t know! Last week you weren’t here.
[Leslie] That’s right, I wasn’t. I started Monday! So, we’re gonna meet at 4.
[Tom] Yeah, four o’clock.
[Leslie] Where are we gonna meet?
[Tom] Conference room B.
[Leslie] And… who’s gonna be there?
[Tom] Just the sales people: you, me, Jane and Daniel. And the boss, of course.

[man] Yeah, the food was great, but the service was awful.
[woman] Really?
[man] Yeah, awful. And it was really expensive.
[woman] Oh. How much did you pay?
[man] Well, actually my girlfriend’s father paid, so… I didn’t pay anything.
